All prices shown above are for a bust (head & shoulders) of a single subject of ordinary complexity. Particularly intricate clothing, showing hands, detailed backgrounds and the likes will be quoted separately. Please add 75% for each additional subject. Standard single portrait dimensions are close to life size on 19"x 25" fine-artist, acid-free paper or board, unframed. Other sizes quoted on request.
To receive a firm portrait quotation when personal meeting with the subject is not possible, please email or upload a minimum of two good close-up photos of the subject. Most file formats are acceptable including .jpg .gif .tif .png and so on. If you're unsure about how (or unable) to upload your photo images, please contact Portraits by Nanybel at:
Nanybel highly recommends and prefers personally taking the reference photographs when possible, at no extra charge (she usually takes several dozens of photos). A contract arrangement and travelling fees may apply to clients living far from the Greater Atlanta, GA area.
Copyright: When meeting with the subject(s) is not possible, and you most provide the reference photographs, please make sure these are free of copyrights - Nanybel highly recommends that you send your own and will gladly guide you through the process to take the best shots possible. Copyright of Nanybel's work remains her own, to promote her work and/or to use for reproductions (Giclées) when appropriate. Her artwork cannot be reproduced or used for any purposes by anyone else without her written permission.
When you provide the subject's images, a primary photo/image that you specify will be used as the main reference to render the subject more or less "as is" since Nanybel employs realistic techniques to create her portraits. All supplied images are studied to bring out the best in the subject, but only one can serve as the primary basis for your portrait as illustrated in the examples above.
Nanybel portraits are created using the finest pastels and charcoals on acid-free "Canson Mi-Teintes", "Canson Touch" papers and boards, and Sennelier paper. An invisible, protective, safe, non yellowing coating is usually applied to the finished work to preserve its beauty. Expert custom framing including conservation/museum glass is recommended and available upon request.
Thank you so much for visiting my website. I hope to one day create a wonderful portrait just for you!
